Biography

For the past 17 years, Principal Dana Myckan has enjoyed serving as a strategic communications professional for large or small projects, videos, and campaigns executed here in Edmonton, in Alberta, and throughout Canada and the United States. 

In 2006, after a six-year tenure in corporate communications at a large North American engineering and architecture firm, Dana founded ImPRession Communications Inc. Her client list includes provincial and municipal government in Alberta, companies, and industry associations. She also teaches media training to Environmental Health students at Concordia University College. 

She is experienced in several PR disciplines, including internal communications, special event management, investor relations communications and events, M&A (mergers and acquisitions) communications, arts marketing, media relations, and not-for-profit community relations, and development. 

Dana is skilled at managing multi-faceted strategic communications programs, and writing and editing sensitive information. Dana will serve as a consultant, as a communications project manager, or as a complement to your existing team. For larger projects, she can enlist or recommend additional specialists from her trusted network to get the job done.   
 

Dana is a Public Relations Major graduate of Grant MacEwan’s Advertising and PR program in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. 

She is an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society and volunteers as the Media Crew Coordinator for the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, one of the greatest music festivals on earth!
